"Germ Invaders" and "Plant Wars" win at Perritt Science Fair

Kindergarten and first grade students at Perritt Primary studied everything from physics to biology and presented their findings at this year’s science fair through a host of creative projects. "A job well done" to all of the entrants and especially to this year's winners: First grade - 1) Jace Benson, Germ Invaders; 2) Halle McGough, Popping Bubbles; 3) Elliot DeBusk, Balloon Pop. Kindergarten - 1) Lydia Benjamin, Plant Wars; 2) Michal DeBusk, Walking and Running in the Rain; 3) Parker Schaeffer, Remember to Wash Your Bread. First and second place winners advance to the Dawson Education Cooperative District Science Fair on May 20 at 8:30 a.m. in Henderson State University's Garrison Center. Thanks to our judges Lori Hensley, Biology instructor at OBU, Marty Perry, from OBU's Chemistry Department, and Ann McMillion, a retired teacher from APS.
